About Me

Hi, my name is Becky and some of you may know me from Hot Deals by Bec. I am a senior in college working on my degree in special education with a concentration on reading. I currently work as a special education paraprofessional and have worked with students with special needs in various settings since 2000 at the young age of 21. I am finally realizing my dream to become a teacher and student teach in Spring 2010. I am excited and also deathly afraid of what to expect in the future.

I decided to start Free Stuff for Teachers since I am also a freebie nut and being a poor college student has taught me and my husband, J to be frugal and make every penny count. I noticed freebies, deals and discounts for teachers which didn't quite apply to my other site hence this site was born.

I understand how overworked and underpaid educators are and every little help counts. Hopefully you will find something useful here that you can use in your classroom or share with your co-workers. I also hope the teacher discounts and deals will put a smile on your face!
